This small bronze Buddha figure is cast in the classic Thai Theravada tradition, seated in dhyana mudra (meditation pose) with both hands resting in the lap. The figure sits cross-legged on a simple stepped base, the calm, introspective expression emphasizing inner balance and spiritual focus.

The Buddha’s elongated earlobes, gently arched brows, and subtle smile are characteristic of Thai devotional bronzes. The pointed ushnisha (cranial protuberance) reinforces its Southeast Asian origin.

Traces of original gilding remain across the surface, now softened by age and handling, giving the sculpture a warm, worn patina that collectors appreciate. The casting is solid and confident, suggesting production for private devotion or small shrine use rather than tourist manufacture.
